FVGC launches federal election platform

The Fruit and Vegetable Growers of Canada (FVGC) has released its 2025 federal election campaign platform: Cultivating Resiliency – Election Priorities of Canada’s Fruit and Vegetable Growers. The platform urges all federal parties to commit to practical, forward-looking solutions that will strengthen domestic food security and ensure the long-term viability of Canada’s fruit and vegetable sector.

“The House of Commons AGRI Committee made it clear in its 2024 report that real action is needed to strengthen Canada’s fruit and vegetable sector,” said Marcus Janzen, president of FVGC. “We’re calling on all parties to make food security a national priority and ensure that policy decisions across government—from trade to tax—are made with agriculture and food systems in mind.”
