Iowa Beef Industry Leader Highlights Value of Exports in Drovers Magazine

Iowa cattle producer Ross Havens, a Cattlemen’s Beef Board member and co-chair of the Beef Checkoff’s International Marketing Committee, authored a guest column for Drovers magazine on the importance of U.S. beef exports. It is available ONLINE.

Havens notes that several beef variety meat items command a premium in international markets while attracting little interest from U.S. consumers. He also highlights the diverse range of countries and regions where demand for U.S. beef is growing, which includes well-established Asian destinations as well as emerging markets in Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
