John Blue Company Celebrates 140 Years of Innovation, Quality, and Reliability

Huntsville, AL – John Blue Company is proud to celebrate 140 years in business in 2026, marking a legacy built on quality craftsmanship, trusted performance, and a commitment to serving customers across agriculture and industry since 1886.

Founded in Laurinburg, North Carolina, John Blue Company has grown from its early roots into a trusted name in pumping solutions, offering a wide range of piston, centrifugal, diaphragm, spray, and injection pumps. In 1945, following a fire that destroyed its North Carolina foundry, the company relocated to Huntsville, Alabama. For more than a century, the company has remained focused on building dependable products designed to meet the evolving needs of farmers, applicators, and industrial users.

“Our story is built on the trust of our customers and the dedication of our employees,” said Marty Gray, CEO of John Blue Company. “Reaching 140 years is an incredible milestone, and it’s a testament to the people, past and present, who believed in doing the job right and standing behind what we build.”

Throughout 2026, John Blue Company will recognize this milestone with special marketing initiatives, historical highlights, and continued investment in innovative product solutions. While much has changed since its founding, the company’s core values – quality, reliability, and integrity – remain unchanged.

As John Blue Company looks to the future, it remains committed to delivering pumping solutions that customers can count on, proudly carrying forward a legacy that has stood the test of time for 140 years.
