Manitoba Pork Hosts AGM, Names New Chair

On Wednesday, Manitoba Pork held its Annual General Meeting virtually for the second year in a row.
The meeting was attended by approximately 100 producers and guests who heard greetings and updates from Manitoba Agriculture and Resource Development Minister Blaine Pedersen, as well as presentations from key trading partners in Iowa and Minnesota.
After 24 years of service, including 15 years as a director and seven years as chair, George Matheson stepped down from his role with the organization.
Rick Préjet, a producer from Notre Dame de Lourdes, has been elected as the new chair of Manitoba Pork.
