New federal agriculture minister puts boots on the ground in Saskatchewan

Heath MacDonald spent Friday and Saturday meeting with producer representatives from all of the major agricultural organizations in the province.

MacDonald was accompanied by Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister Darryl Harrison on the tour which went to farms in the Indian Head, Davidson and Regina areas.

The Agriculture Minister heard concerns about tariffs and trade, as well as the potential for drought in the driest areas of the province.

At the end of the tour, MacDonald spoke with CJWW Agriculture Director Neil Billinger.
