RALP opened for Year 3 Applications

As of February 3, the Resilient Agricultural Landscape Program (RALP) has opened for Year 3 applications. The RALP objective is to increase the environmental resiliency of agricultural landscapes by accelerating adoption of beneficial management practices (BMPs) that maximize provision of ecological goods and services (EG&S), particularly increased carbon sequestration and enhanced climate resilience.

Up to 100% of eligible expenses may be covered for approved grants to support producers in their ability to implement and maintain projects over a three-year term. Funding of up to $150,000 for Primary Producers, and up to $300,000 for Indigenous applicants or groups such as Grazing Reserve Associations and Community Pastures is available for eligible BMP projects. Funding is retroactive to February 1, 2025.

Please take time to review all updated Year 3 program documents to become familiar with recent changes and ensure your application is completed accurately.

Video: FBR Taxation Video

Before trade and tariffs dominated the conversation, taxation was one of the biggest issues on farmers’ minds last year. From the carbon tax to capital gains, OFA worked with the Canadian Federation of Agriculture and provincial partners to push for fair, practical solutions. We saw progress on carbon tax relief and capital gains, and we continue to advocate for modernized farm tax programs at both the provincial and federal levels.

OFA works to represent the interests of Ontario farmers to all levels of government. Renew your Farm Business Registration (FBR) by March 1/26 and choose OFA so we can continue to support Ontario farmers and their businesses.
