Smarter Farming, Stronger Livelihoods

In Felix Park, Saint Andrew, a local poultry business is demonstrating how digital innovation can strengthen food security, boost productivity and reduce environmental impact – all while supporting climate-resilient agriculture in Grenada.

Grenada Chick Inn Farm Limited, one of the country’s leading poultry producers, is now leveraging digital technology to modernise processes that were once heavily dependent on manual labour. Through grant support under the Blue-Green Digital Innovation Challenge, part of the Climate-Resilient Agriculture (CRA) Programme, the farm has integrated climate-smart digital systems into its operations.

The upgrade allows the farm to optimise feed, water and energy use during the rearing of chicks. Climate control sensors and a centralised computer system now regulate temperature, humidity, airflow, feed distribution and water pressure in real time – creating an ideal environment for the birds to thrive.
