Video: NEVER Ending Summer Jobs!!

we’ve got a little bit of everything going on around the farm. We start by taking a semi and hopper bottom to the test lane to get everything inspected and street legal before harvest. After getting the truck tested, I give it a complete service, get it washed up, and put it away in the shed where it’ll sit until harvest.

From there, we head back to the fields to re-spray some soybeans that are starting to see a lot of waterhemp coming through. During the spraying, we blow an end cap off a solution pipe, get that fixed up, and get back to work.

Next up is some lawnmower maintenance. The deck wasn’t mowing very level, so I re-leveled it, and swapped out the blades. We then jump in tractors and start mowing all CRP & roadsides!! I hope everyone enjoyed this video!! Hope to see ya in the next one!

My name is Michael Wendling, and I am proud to be a 6th-generation farmer carrying forward a family legacy that began in 1879 here in East Central Illinois.

Today, our operation focuses on raising food-grade corn for Frito-Lay and also soybeans. While the tools and technology have evolved, our core values remain the same: hard work, integrity, and a deep respect for the land we steward. Thank you for following along and supporting the journey.
