USDA Accepting Value-Added Producer Grant Applications

By Joel Mease

U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Oklahoma State Director Zachary Swartz today announced that the agency is currently accepting Value-Added Producer Grant applications from Oklahoma farmers and ranchers.

The Value-Added Producer Grant program helps agriculture producers start a value-added activity that:

  • Generates new products from the agricultural commodity they produce.
  • Creates and expands marketing opportunities.
  • Increases producer income through product value and market reach.

“President Trump is delivering the Golden Age to our Oklahoma farmers and ranchers and is supportive of programs that can increase the bottom line for our producers like the Value-Added Producer Grant,” said Swartz. “I would encourage any of our local producers to consider this program and exert greater control over the world-class products they produce.”
