By Wiley Ross Greene

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced per-acre commodity payment rates under the one-time Farmer Bridge Assistance (FBA) Program. This program provides direct assistance to producers based on 2025 planted acres to help offset increased production costs and market disruptions.
Payments will be administered through USDA Farm Service Agency offices, with pre-filled applications sent to eligible producers. Payments are expected to begin in February 2026.
