Jason Brown

Jason Brown

Drafted in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL draft to the Baltimore Ravens, Jason Brown was on his way to becoming the highest paid center in the league – signing a five year contract with the St. Louis (now Los Angeles) Rams worth $37.5 million. After earning more than $25 million of his contract, Brown retired from football in 2012 at the age of 29 to become a farmer.

He learned about agricultural practices by watching YouTube videos and now maintains a 1,000 acre farm in Louisburg, North Carolina, producing different crops including sweet potatoes and cucumbers. To date, he’s donated more than 50,000 pounds of produce to local food pantries.
