New scholarships support high school and college agriculture students
AgCareers has announced the return of its Feed Your Future Scholarship program for 2026, continuing its commitment to supporting students who want to build careers in agriculture and food. This year, the program has been expanded to create opportunities for both college students and high school seniors interested in pursuing agriculture-related education.
The scholarship program aims to encourage the next generation of agriculture professionals while helping students achieve their academic and career goals. By investing in young talent, AgCareers hopes to strengthen the future workforce of the agriculture industry and support continued innovation across the sector.
“We already know many high school students are passionate about making a difference and pursuing careers in agriculture and food,” said Bonnie Johnson, Marketing & Communications Manager, AgCareers. “When our team attends events such as trade shows or the National FFA Convention or speaks to younger students at 4-H or STEM workshops, they are eager to explore the diverse careers in agriculture and food and, of course, have shown a keen interest in the Feed Your Future scholarship as they approach the end of their high school days.”
For the 2026 program, two scholarships will be awarded. One scholarship will go to a U.S. college student enrolled in an agriculture-related program who has at least one semester of studies remaining. A second scholarship will be awarded to a U.S. high school senior planning to continue their education in an agriculture-related field after graduation.
According to AgCareers, many young people have shown growing interest in agriculture careers. Through interactions at agricultural events, educational workshops, and student programs, the organization has seen increasing enthusiasm among students who want to contribute to the future of food production and agriculture.
The scholarship application process has also been updated to encourage students to think carefully about their career ambitions and their passion for the agriculture industry. Applicants will be asked to explain their future goals, what inspired their interest in agriculture, and how they can help promote the value of the industry to a wider audience.
Applications for the Feed Your Future Scholarship program are currently open and will be accepted through November 20, 2026. AgCareers believes the initiative will help talented students gain access to educational opportunities while supporting the long-term growth of the agriculture and food sectors.
