Company strengthens biological seed solutions with advanced sustainable carrier technology

BW Fusion, a leading provider of agricultural bio-nutritional solutions, has announced the acquisition of a seed technology company known for developing advanced carrier systems that deliver biological products and micronutrients directly to seeds: Low Mu Tech.

This acquisition strengthens BW Fusion’s position in the seed care category and supports its long-term goal of helping growers farm in safer, smarter, and more sustainable ways. The acquired technology focuses on improving how biological products are applied to seeds, while also enhancing planter performance and reducing dust during planting operations.

The technology is already being used in one of BW Fusion’s seed treatment solutions that supports early crop growth, improves root strength, and helps beneficial microbes reach the seed more effectively. These improvements are designed to support healthier crops during their early growth stages, which can improve yield potential later in the season.

“This acquisition is a natural extension of our strategy to lead with innovation, data, and sustainability,” said Darren Dillenbeck, CEO of BW Fusion. “Low Mu Tech’s Dust and Inclusion Carrier Technology™ gives us the platform to expand our seed care initiative and bring even more value to growers looking to replace outdated inputs with solutions that are better for their bottom line, their health, and the environment. This is how we farm now.” The integration of the new technology will help reduce unnecessary input use while improving return on investment for growers.

The newly added carrier systems also help lower environmental impact by limiting airborne dust and reducing exposure risks for equipment operators. This makes planting operations cleaner and safer while maintaining high performance standards.

The company will continue to invest in next-generation seed coatings and biological delivery systems that align with its philosophy of achieving more output using fewer inputs. By improving how nutrients and microbes are delivered to seeds, BW Fusion aims to support healthier soil, stronger plants, and improved sustainability.

“Our goal at Low Mu Tech has always been to create technologies that make farming cleaner, safer, and greener,” said Brian Tulley, Founder of Low Mu Tech. “Joining BW Fusion allows us to scale that vision with a partner who shares our passion for innovation and improving the grower experience from the ground up.”

This acquisition also strengthens BW Fusion’s vertically integrated platform across crop nutrition, biological solutions, and data tools. With a growing presence across North America, the company continues to introduce modern tools that help farmers adopt more efficient and responsible farming practices.

Video: Pandemic Risks in Swine - Dr. John Deen

I’m Phil Hord, and I’m excited to kick off my first episode as host on The Swine it Podcast Show. It’s a privilege to begin this journey with you. In this episode, Dr. John Deen, a retired Distinguished Global Professor Emeritus from the University of Minnesota, explains how pandemic threats continue to shape U.S. swine health and production. He discusses vulnerabilities in diagnostics, movement control, and national preparedness while drawing lessons from ASF, avian influenza, and field-level epidemiology. Listen now on all major platforms.

"Pandemic events in swine systems continue to generate significant challenges because early signals often resemble common conditions, creating delays that increase spread and economic disruption."
