David Williams joins to lead global agronomy sales growth and client success

Rock River Laboratory, Inc., a global provider of agricultural testing and data management services, has announced the appointment of David Williams as its new Global Sales Director. In this role, Williams will lead the company’s expanded agronomy sales team and support long-term growth across North America.

“David’s diverse and dedicated leadership experience precedes him, and we are fully confident in his ability to form cohesion throughout the expert teams we’re bringing together,” said Zachery Meyer, Rock River Laboratory CEO. “Customer service remains a top priority for our organization, and David’s work will ensure the commitment to client success while bolstering the value our team members bring to customer challenges and opportunities.”

Rock River Laboratory is known for providing laboratory analysis, data tools, and models that help farmers make better production decisions. The company has recently expanded by acquiring A&L Canada Laboratories in Ontario, Agri-Labs in Indiana, and Frontier Labs in Iowa. Williams will work to integrate these teams with Rock River Laboratory’s main office in Wisconsin to create a strong and unified sales network.

Company leaders say the appointment supports their focus on customer service. Rock River Laboratory’s leadership shared that Williams brings strong experience in sales management and team development. His work will help ensure that customers continue to receive high-quality service and practical solutions to their farming challenges.

Williams holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science, Food, and Nutrition and a Master of Science degree focused on ruminant nutrition. His education prepared him to understand both livestock needs and modern agricultural practices. He also has many years of experience in sales leadership and production management roles in the animal nutrition industry.

Before joining Rock River Laboratory, Williams worked in senior positions with a major animal nutrition organization. He also managed a large cow-calf operation and served as an assistant farm manager at a university livestock center. His background in production agriculture began on his family’s farm in southern Illinois, giving him first-hand knowledge of farm operations and challenges.

In addition to his professional career, Williams is a decorated military veteran. He has completed overseas deployment and continues to serve as a chaplain in the Illinois Army National Guard. This experience reflects his leadership skills, discipline, and commitment to service.

With this appointment, Rock River Laboratory aims to strengthen its sales operations, improve team collaboration, and continue delivering trusted agricultural testing and advisory services to farmers across North America.
