Rural communities across Canada are receiving a boost from Farm Credit Canada (FCC), which is investing $1.5 million through its FCC AgriSpirit Fund to support 83 community projects designed to improve local infrastructure, services and gathering spaces.
Since launching the program in 2004, FCC has provided support to 1,861 projects and invested more than $25.5 million in community improvement initiatives across Canada.
The funding has supported projects in cities, towns and Indigenous communities with populations under 50,000 residents.
