Fendt has expanded its North American tractor lineup with the new 1052 Gen4 and updated 800 and 500 Series models, featuring higher horsepower, and improved fuel efficiency.
Fendt is expanding its high-horsepower tractor portfolio in North America with the introduction of the new 1052 Gen4, along with updates to its 800 and 500 Series models.
The latest machines are designed to deliver greater performance, improved efficiency, and advanced technology for modern farming operations.
Arthur Santos, Senior Marketing Manager for Fendt Tractors in North America, walked through the key improvements made to the new 1000 series with farms.com.
According to Santos, the 1052 Gen4 offers significantly more power than previous models, supported by a redesigned drivetrain and enhanced structural components.
The tractor is now built to handle up to 550 horsepower, supported by a reinforced transmission and an upgraded engine with a higher torque curve. Santos explained that operators can also reduce engine output when maximum power is not required.
By adjusting horsepower settings from within the cab, producers can improve fuel efficiency and potentially lower operating costs while matching power to specific field tasks.
Fendt is also emphasizing autonomous technology through its commercially available PTx OutRun system. The autonomy kit can be installed on compatible 1000 series tractors, allowing operators to deploy autonomous capabilities for selected applications.
Santos noted that the latest 1000 series comes factory-ready for the system, simplifying installation and operation.
Currently, autonomous functions can be used for grain cart operations, with tillage applications expected in the near future.
Looking ahead, the company expects autonomous solutions to continue expanding, with plans to support a complete corn and soybean production cycle through automation by 2030.
In addition to the 1000 series, Fendt unveiled an all-new 800 series tractor featuring a new engine and transmission.
The model includes the company’s Fendt ID low-RPM operating concept, a self-cleaning air filtration system, and high-speed guidance capabilities of up to 25 mph.
The new 500 series is aimed at loader and utility applications.
Offering 120 to 160 horsepower, the tractor combines Fendt’s Vario CVT transmission, Fendt iD technology, and the FendtONE operator interface to deliver versatility and ease of operation across a wide range of farm tasks.
