With these updates, John Deere continues to push forward precision spraying technology—offering more flexibility, more crop compatibility, and more efficiency in the field.

John Deere has unveiled several new advancements for its sprayer lineup for the 2027 model year, including expanded See & Spray capabilities, additional crop models, and new steering technology designed to improve precision and efficiency in the field.

Josh Ladd, Marketing Manager for John Deere Application Products, explained to Farms.com, the company's latest spraying technology See & Spray Gen 2, the next generation of the company's targeted spraying system.

The updated technology will offer new features such as variable-rate application and an optional lighting package that supports approved nighttime spraying in fallow fields.

John Deere is also expanding crop compatibility by adding seven new crop models, including wheat, canola, barley, peanuts, sugar beets, milo, and edible beans.

Current users of See & Spray technology will also benefit from the update.

Four of the seven newly introduced crop models will be available on existing Gen 1 See & Spray systems through a software upgrade.

This applies to model year 2018 through 2026 machines equipped with See & Spray Ultimate, factory installed See & Spray Premium, or Precision Upgrade kits.

Another key addition for 2027 is four-wheel steering on John Deere's 400 Series sprayers.

The option will be available on the 400R, 408R, 410R, and 412R models, providing operators with improved maneuverability and field performance.

John Deere also announced updates for its Hagie sprayer lineup.

See & Spray Premium will now be available as a factory-installed option on the Hagie STS12, joining the STS16 and STS20 models. This gives growers more opportunities to integrate targeted spraying technology across different machine sizes.

In addition, Hagie customers will have access to optional boom tip shields beginning in 2027.

The shields are designed to help protect sprayer booms from damage caused by obstacles such as tree branches, fence posts, and other field hazards.
