Wade dedicated his life to the cause of livestock improvement. He was the director of the Ontario Livestock Branch and initiated many policies that helped the quality and health of the province’s livestock. He was also the secretary of the Canadian Sheep and Canadian Swine breeder’s association and managed the Ontario Provincial Winter Fair for multiple years.
