Free Open Farm Day Offers Learning Activities and Farm Experiences
Families and agriculture enthusiasts will have an opportunity to explore modern farming and agricultural research during a free Open Farm Day event this August. The event is designed to bring communities closer to the people, science, and practices that support food production.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of family friendly attractions while learning more about agriculture. Activities include a petting zoo, interactive demonstrations, educational exhibits, and opportunities to speak directly with farmers, agronomists, and agricultural researchers. These experiences are intended to help people better understand farming and the important role it plays in everyday life.
The event also features enjoyable attractions for children and families, including bouncy castles, hands on learning stations, and refreshing treats. Guests will have the chance to explore agricultural research plots and discover how innovation supports crop production and sustainable farming practices.
A special Ask a Farmer area will allow visitors to ask questions about food production, farming methods, and agricultural careers. Experts from across the industry will be available to share their knowledge and explain current developments in agriculture.
