JCB has expanded its agricultural equipment lineup with the launch of two new skid steer loaders designed specifically for North American farms. The new JCB 250 and 290 models are built to help producers complete everyday material-handling tasks more efficiently while improving operator comfort and safety.
Manufactured in Savannah, Georgia, the machines are designed for the unique demands of modern agricultural operations. Farmers today face increasing labor challenges and rising operational pressures, making equipment that improves efficiency more valuable than ever. The new loaders aim to help operators complete more work throughout the day using a single machine.

Both the 250 and 290 skid steer loaders are powered by a 74-horsepower engine. The machines are built to support a wide range of attachments, allowing them to perform several jobs throughout the year. Whether producers are loading feed, stacking hay, transporting pallets, cleaning livestock facilities, or moving farm materials, the new loaders are designed to handle these tasks efficiently.
One of the most notable features is JCB's single-arm boom design. Unlike traditional skid steer loaders, the design provides improved visibility for operators and allows convenient side-door entry. This feature eliminates the need for operators to climb over buckets, forks, or attachments when entering or leaving the machine.

The JCB 250 offers a rated operating capacity of approximately 2,531 pounds, while the JCB 290 provides a capacity of about 3,029 pounds. Both machines feature hinge pin heights exceeding 10 feet, allowing operators to load feed mixers, stack seed and fertilizer bags, move hay bales, and load trucks with ease.
High-flow hydraulic options increase the capabilities of both models and allow them to operate a broad selection of attachments. This flexibility enables producers to perform multiple jobs with one machine, reducing the need for additional equipment and improving equipment utilization across the farm.
Despite their lifting strength, the loaders maintain a compact design.
