KUHN enhances hay harvesting with new triple mowers
KUHN North America, Inc. has expanded its hay and forage equipment lineup with the introduction of the new GMD 30+ Series triple mowers and FC 30+ Series triple mower conditioners.
Designed for high-capacity mowing, the new machines combine KUHN’s established cutting performance with optional ISOBUS technology for improved control and automation.
When used with a front-mounted mower or mower conditioner, the new + Series equipment can provide a working width of up to 32 feet 6 inches (9.9 meters) in one pass.
Operators can choose the KFA 12 control box for straightforward machine operation or add ISOBUS functionality for automated headland management, section control and machine diagnostics.
The machines are engineered for durability and reduced maintenance. Fast-Fit knives and the Optidisc Elite cutterbar, which is lubricated for life, help simplify routine servicing.
Continuous Protectadrive disc bearing stations are designed to minimize the potential for cutterbar damage when encountering obstacles. A hydraulic non-stop breakaway system allows the equipment to move upward and away from obstacles during field operations.
Lift-Control hydropneumatic suspension enables the cutterbars to operate independently while maintaining consistent ground pressure. This helps the machines follow changing terrain, minimize soil incorporation and protect forage quality.
The FC 30+ mower conditioners provide two conditioning options: the DigiDry finger conditioner and Diamond Block rubber roller conditioner. This allows producers to select the system best suited to crop type, volume and desired drying time.
