Let’s celebrate National Ag Day with a contest!

Tell us why you love the farm life for a chance at prizes.

By Farms.com

We know that farmers are the backbone of this country, so let’s celebrate National Ag Day on March 22, 2022!

On this special day, we recognize and celebrate agriculture and its contribution to our daily lives.

It’s a day for every American: to learn and understand how food and fiber products are produced; to learn the value of how important agriculture is in helping the United States of America maintain a strong local and international economy; and it’s learning to appreciate the role ag plays in providing safe, abundant and affordable products.

While the day is meant to educate the non-ag community, Farms.com wants to honor the American farmer.

It’s why we, Farms.com, are hosting a Twitter only contest: #ForTheLoveofFarming.

Running from February 14 – March 22 @ 11:59 PM, this fun contest is just one part of many activities we have planned to celebrate National Ag Day March 22, 2022.

  • Contest is running from February 14 until March 22, 2022.
  • Twitter account to tag: @FarmsNews

Post a tweet with a photo or video that conveys why you love farming. Be sure to include the hashtag: #ForTheLoveofFarming.

No expletives, please, even though we know farming is awesome. We want the whole family to be able to enjoy the videos and tweets.

  1. Post a video explanation, or a photo with explanation, of why you love farming
  2. Use the hashtag: #ForTheLoveofFarming
  3. Tag the Farms.com Twitter account: @FarmsNews

Everyone who posts a tweet with the hashtag: #ForTheLoveofFarming and the @FarmNews handle will automatically be entered into the contest, where a random draw will be conducted to determine the grand prize winner.

One grand prize will be awarded from entries on the @FarmsNews account. The grand prize winner will be awarded the following prize: one (1) hat, one (1) Hoodie, and one (1) T-Shirt with unique I Love Farming design, as well as a $100 TSC Gift Card (Estimated grand prize value of $250)

Winners will be announced on March 28, 2022!

Contest is only open to farmers. Must be age of majority in your state to be eligible to win the contest.

Video: A Farm Song (Busy) | Parody of A Bar Song (Tipsy) by Shaboozey

Lyrics:

My days begin with workin’, Alarm’s at 5 o’clock,
I Fill 5 gallon buckets, The feeders and the troughs,
This five to nine ain’t workin’, why the heck do I work so hard?,
I can’t worry ‘bout health problems, I can sleep in when I’m gone,

One, here comes the two to the three to the four,
Tell em’ ‘buy another cow, we need plenty more’,
Blue jeans are gettin’ dirty, what else could I ask for,
Oh my, more chores

Someone pour me up another shot of sweet tea,
They know me and working hard’s got a history,
There’s another flock of sheep that still needs feed,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,

Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,

I’ve been working pretty stressed but,
I ain’t changing for some cash,
Lord knows that I’m very blessed (More chores),
But I gotta say it’s hard,
Workin’ outside gettin’ charred,
Living out here on the farm, (more chores)

One, here comes the two to the three to the four,
Tell em’ ‘buy another cow, we need plenty more’,
Blue jeans are gettin’ dirty, what else could I ask for,
Oh my, more chores

Someone pour me up another shot of sweet tea,
They know me and working hard’s got a history
There’s another 20 chickens that still need feed,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,

Everybody on the farm getting’ busy,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,

Fun, here on ranch that’s what you can’t ignore,
Might be pretty hard but I love it to its core,
Flannel’s gettin’ dirty, what else could I ask for,
Oh my, more chores (Tell ‘em sing with me)

Someone pour me up another shot of sweet tea,
They know me and working hard’s got a history,
There’s another flock of sheep that still needs feed,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
Someone pour me up another shot of sweet tea,
They know me and working hard’s got a history,
Watching cattle in the dark, don’t miss me,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
(Yeeeeeehaw)
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
It’s the best bro, go get yourself a farm
