Acquisition strengthens Manitoba grain marketing and farmer support

Linear Grain Inc., a privately owned Canadian grain handling and merchandising company, has announced the successful acquisition of the Fannystelle Grain Elevator from Bunge. The strategic purchase reinforces Linear Grain’s commitment to supporting Manitoba farmers with efficient and locally focused grain handling services.

Located just west of Winnipeg, the Fannystelle elevator has long served as a trusted delivery point for producers. With this acquisition, Linear Grain strengthens its ability to provide reliable delivery options, competitive marketing programs, and personalized service tailored to the needs of Manitoba farm families.

“We’re excited to welcome the Fannystelle elevator into the Linear Grain family and to continue serving the producers who have supported it,” said Ryan McKnight, President & Merchandising Manager of Linear Grain Inc. “This facility aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver dependable grain handling and marketing solutions while maintaining strong local relationships.”

Operations at the elevator will begin immediately, with existing employees retained to ensure service continuity. Linear Grain’s team will work closely with area producers to enhance their market competitiveness through effective grain programs.

“Being located on the CPKC railway, this asset expands our marketing reach and allows us to offer even stronger programs to local producers,” said McKnight. “As a Manitoba-based company, we understand the importance of having a local presence people who care about the community and the families behind every load of grain.”

The transaction was officially completed on November 5, 2025, marking a significant step forward in Linear Grain’s efforts to strengthen Manitoba’s agricultural network.
