AGI Targets Faster Supply Chain and Improved Service for Grain Belt Farmers.

Ag Growth International Inc. (AGI) has announced a multi-million-dollar investment to expand its manufacturing facility in Clay Center, Kansas, adding U.S. production capacity for 4-inch corrugated farm grain bins.

The initiative is part of the company’s long-term strategy to better serve customers across major grain-producing regions by improving manufacturing efficiency and supply chain responsiveness.

The Clay Center plant currently manufactures a variety of grain handling equipment, including augers, bucket elevators, conveyors, towers, catwalks, and bin unload systems.

The new investment will further strengthen AGI’s North American production network by increasing domestic grain storage manufacturing capabilities.

“This project reflects AGI’s commitment to strengthening and balancing our North American manufacturing footprint around where our customers operate,” said Paul Brisebois, President and CEO of AGI.

Brisebois continued, “Adding bin capacity in the heart of the U.S. grain belt aligns production closer to the customer—improving responsiveness, strengthening supply chain resilience, and enhancing how we serve farmers and dealers.”

The expansion will complement AGI’s existing facility in St. Boniface, Manitoba, increasing overall grain bin production capacity while creating a more flexible manufacturing network across North America.

The project is also expected to benefit the local economy by creating new employment opportunities in Clay Center and surrounding communities. According to Plant Manager Mike Baker, production of the new grain bins is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2027.

“This is an exciting step forward for our team and our community,” said Baker. “We expect to begin bin production in the Spring of 2027, creating new jobs and building on the strong foundation here at Clay Center to support continued growth.”

Originally established in 1958 as Hutchinson Manufacturing, the Clay Center facility joined AGI in 2017 and recently earned the company’s Safety Standout Award after three consecutive years without a lost-time injury.
