Seven agri-food post-secondary programs to consider in Ontario

Offered in both Simcoe and London, this graduate certificate program consists of 36 weeks of full-time study.

The program includes courses such as: agricultural marketing, agricultural finance, food safety and traceability, pest control management, leadership and management fundamentals and a field placement.

“Graduates will have the opportunity to seek employment in a wide variety of agricultural businesses, including: large farms, smaller intensive farming enterprises, food processing and distribution firms, boutique enterprises that market their own products and agricultural supply firms such as lending or sales enterprises,” according to the program website.

Applicants must hold a two- or three-year college diploma, a degree or an acceptable combination of related work experience (to be judged by the college).
