Twin Flywheel Tech Boosts Wood Chipper Performance Globally

New models expand advanced chipper design for tractor and gas powered users 

A large majority of farms have woodland on their property, so tools to manage woodlands are essential. 

Woodland Mills, which manufactures forestry equipment, has reported strong customer adoption nearly one year after expanding its patented Twin Flywheel Technology into four additional wood chipper models.  

The TF46 PRO, TF68 PRO, TFG55 PTO, and TFG55 GAS brought the system beyond the original TF810 PRO and made the design available to more tractor owners and, for the first time, to users without tractors. 

These new models introduced the technology to smaller PTO-driven units and added a gas-powered option, opening a new category in the wood chipper market. Customer demand has remained steady since the launch, and reviews highlight smoother operation, improved flexibility, and increased convenience.  

The addition of Gravity-Assist Infeed has also expanded access and made material processing easier for a wider range of users. 

Twin Flywheel Technology was first released in 2023 with the TF810 PRO after years of testing and refinement. The system separates the chipping and throwing functions, allowing material to be processed more efficiently. One flywheel delivers high torque for handling larger branches and logs, while a second flywheel spins at twice the speed to improve discharge distance and air movement. This feature also helps lighter and leafy materials stay within the chip stream instead of falling short.

"Our Twin Flywheel Technology represents a significant leap forward in wood chipper design, and we're excited to see it reach the subcompact and compact tractor category." 

The current lineup includes models able to handle material sizes from 3 to 8 inches in diameter and offers compatibility with tractor horsepower ratings from 15 HP to more than 100 HP. This range allows acreage owners and small farm users to select equipment that fits their needs, mobility preferences, and budget. 

Co-founder Neil Bramley added that the combination of efficiency, power, and versatility is helping set a new standard for residential and rural equipment. With continued demand and positive feedback, Woodland Mills expects the technology to remain an important advancement in wood chipper design.
