Fun at College Royal

Farms.com was pleased to support the University of Guelph’s annual College Royal which was held March 15th & 16th, 2025 – it was the 101st edition.

Every March, the University of Guelph hosts College Royal, the largest university open house event in North America. This annual campus-wide event attracts thousands of visitors, offering them a unique opportunity to explore the university’s facilities, engage with students and faculty, and experience the vibrant campus life. College Royal has become a highly anticipated tradition, drawing participants from near and far to enjoy a range of interactive activities and displays.

"This year saw the addition of a new event, Spotlight Sunday, which brought the arts to center stage with an exciting open mic night for Guelph students" says College Royal volunteer organizer Haley Lundy. "This free event invited performers of all kinds to showcase their talents in a fun and welcoming atmosphere."

The event showcased singers, musicians, poets, and comedians, there was a space for everyone in the spotlight. In addition to incredible performances, attendees enjoyed games, a relaxed hangout space, and the chance to win great prizes. Farms.com branded chairs were given to two lucky winners as raffle prizes.

More than just a talent showcase, Spotlight Sunday was about celebrating creativity and bringing the student community together through the performing arts.
