Case IH Puma Tractor Series Ideal for Livestock-ers and Cash Croppers

A Puma for every farmer says Case IH.

Its Puma Series tractors are designed to serve both livestock and cash crop farmers, with horsepower offerings ranging from 150 to 260, offering flexibility for various farming operations.

Farms.com recently met with Shawn Duren, livestock product specialist at Case IH, to learn more about the Puma’s wide application.

The 150 to 175 horsepower models are particularly suited for livestock operations, while the higher horsepower versions, up to 260, are ideal for row crops and fieldwork.

A standout feature of the Puma tractor is its spacious and modern cab. Farmers can enjoy the Pro 1200 monitor, which provides precision guidance and FieldOps technology to enhance decision-making and field management.

This technology ensures accurate performance in various farming tasks, making the Puma a reliable partner for productivity.

Duren says the Puma combines comfort and power, allowing operators to work longer hours with ease. Its advanced technology and wide horsepower range mean it can be tailored to fit different farm sizes and needs.

Whether you’re feeding livestock or managing large crop fields, there’s a Puma designed to help you get the job done efficiently.

Case IH encourages farmers to visit their local dealerships or explore more information online at www.caseih.com.

A chain harrow is a game changer

Video: A chain harrow is a game changer

Utilizing a rotational grazing method on our farmstead with our sheep helps to let the pasture/paddocks rest. We also just invested in a chain harrow to allow us to drag the paddocks our sheep just left to break up and spread their manure around, dethatch thicker grass areas, and to rough up bare dirt areas to all for a better seed to soil contact if we overseed that paddock. This was our first time really using the chain harrow besides initially testing it out. We are very impressed with the work it did and how and area that was majority dirt, could be roughed up before reseeding.

Did you know we also operate a small business on the homestead. We make homemade, handcrafted soaps, shampoo bars, hair and beard products in addition to offering our pasture raised pork, lamb, and 100% raw honey. You can find out more about our products and ingredients by visiting our website at www.mimiandpoppysplace.com. There you can shop our products and sign up for our monthly newsletter that highlights a soap or ingredient, gives monthly updates about the homestead, and also lists the markets, festivals, and events we’ll be attending that month.
