Partnership with Montag Manufacturing Supports Tillage and Seeding in One Pass

Great Plains Ag has announced the launch of its latest innovation, the Turbo-Seeder PLUS, created through a partnership with Montag Manufacturing, known for their leading dry metering systems.

This new product is designed to make farming more efficient by combining cover crop seeding and tillage into a single pass.

Farms.com met with Tony Wisker, vice president of sales and marketing with Great Plains Ag, to learn more about this new product and partnership with Montag.

The Turbo-Seeder PLUS is available in three different sizes, offering flexibility for various farming operations.

Two of these sizes are designed to mount directly onto Great Plains’ Turbo-Max or Terra-Max products. This setup allows for simultaneous tillage and seeding, saving both time and effort.

For farmers needing larger capacity, a six-ton cart version is also available. This cart pulls behind the implement and provides the same efficient seeding experience for broader field operations.

According to Great Plains, this system uses Montag’s top-rated dry metering technology, considered the best in the marketplace. It ensures accurate seed placement, reducing waste and improving crop establishment.

This makes it especially effective for cover crop applications, which are crucial for improving soil health and reducing erosion.

The Turbo-Seeder PLUS is built for convenience and performance.

Farmers can now till and seed their fields in one go, reducing labor costs and fuel consumption. The equipment is ideal for those looking to maximize productivity during planting seasons.

Historically wars like the 2026 Iran war are bullish hard assets like grains, metals and energy! The funds are spooked and do not want to be short, but do they price in the news over time, similar to the Ukraine/Russian war that started on Feb. 24, 2022? A closure of the Strait of Hormuz is the key to the surge in crude oil, natural gas prices and fertilizer prices.  Grains are breaking out to new contract highs as a hedge against inflation.
