New facility near Highway 15 offers diesel, gasoline, DEF, lubricants, and high-speed fuelling for farm and commercial customers.
United Farmers of Alberta (UFA) has expanded its petroleum network with the opening of a new Cardlock and Bulk Petroleum site in Outlook, Saskatchewan, providing agricultural producers, transportation companies, and commercial operators with expanded access to fuel and lubricants in one of the province's key farming regions.
The new facility, located near Highway 15, is part of UFA's ongoing strategy to grow its presence across Western Canada and invest in communities that support agriculture and rural economic activity. According to UFA, Outlook was selected because of its strong agricultural base, significant irrigation infrastructure, and strategic location along an important transportation corridor.
The site is designed to accommodate both farm and commercial customers, offering regular and premium gasoline, regular and premium diesel, and Dieselex® Gold premium diesel. Customers can also access DEF at the pump, high-speed fuelling lanes with satellite dispensers, and wide-access lanes built to handle larger agricultural equipment and commercial vehicles. UFA and Shell-branded lubricants are also available at the location.
In announcing the opening, UFA President and CEO Fred Thun emphasized the importance of dependable fuel infrastructure for Western Canada's agricultural and transportation sectors.
"Reliable access to fuel is critical to the success of agriculture, transportation and rural businesses," said Thun. He added that the investment reflects UFA's commitment to supporting a growing region while strengthening services for members and customers.
The new Outlook facility joins UFA's expanding network of petroleum locations across Western Canada. The co-operative said the site will help ensure producers, trucking fleets, and rural businesses have access to fuelling solutions close to where they operate.
For Saskatchewan farmers, convenient fuel access can be especially important during busy planting, spraying, and harvest seasons when downtime can be costly. Locations that accommodate large equipment and provide high-speed fuelling options can help improve operational efficiency during peak periods.
UFA also noted that the Outlook site will be supported by local Petroleum Agent Scott Anderson, who brings more than 25 years of agricultural experience and strong ties to the surrounding farming community. Raised in the region, Anderson is expected to play a key role in serving local producers and businesses.
