New Federal Strategy Links Agriculture to National Defense Goals
The USDA has rolled out a new national plan that places agriculture at the heart of the country’s security efforts. This seven-part policy focuses on defending America’s farmland, food system, and supply chain.

A major development includes the Secretary of Agriculture being added to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). This committee examines deals involving foreign investments in U.S. businesses that could affect national security.
