2026 Silverado - Updated Features for Work and Farm Use

If you are considering a Chevrolet Silverado for your farm in 2026, here are some key details to help you understand what’s new for the upcoming model year.

The 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and 2500 HD models continue the brand’s familiar design and capability, receiving a series of subtle refinements rather than major mechanical changes. Both lineups retain their trusted powertrain selections.

For the Silverado 1500, buyers can choose from a 2.7L Turbo I4, a 5.3L V8, a 6.2L V8, or the efficient 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel.

Meanwhile, the heavy-duty Silverado 2500 and 3500 models keep the standard 6.6L V8 gasoline engine, delivering 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, along with the available 6.6L Duramax V8 turbodiesel, producing 470 horsepower and an impressive 975 lb-ft of torque. All HD variants pair these engines with a 10-speed automatic transmission to ensure smooth power delivery during towing or hauling tasks.

Inside the cabin, technology improvements take center stage. Models equipped with the 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen and the 12.3-inch driver information display now come with Google built-in and support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety features stay at the forefront with enhanced systems such as lane keeping assist and forward collision mitigation, along with optional Super Cruise for hands-free driving on compatible routes.

Trim-level updates add more value for buyers. The off-road-oriented ZR2 and Trail Boss trims now include the Technology Package as standard, offering a rear camera mirror and a 15-inch head-up display, along with the Multi-Flex Tailgate.

For heavy-duty models, Chevrolet has streamlined configurations by removing rear-wheel-drive options from the LT and LTZ trims, except for LT chassis-cab versions. The LTZ trim also drops the Double Cab configuration for 2026.

Overall, the 2026 Silverado lineup delivers incremental upgrades while maintaining the strength, capability, and modern features that farmers expect from Chevrolet’s full-size and heavy-duty trucks.
