Ag in Motion 2023 is underway!

The gates have officially opened for Ag in Motion...2023

Western Canada's largest outdoor show attracts about 30 thousand people from across the prairies, the US and around the world.

It's also the site where more and more companies are doing product launches.

Show Manager Rob O'Conner says the three day event features the latest in farm equipment and technology, with the opportunity for producers to not only do side-by-side comparisons but in some cases test drive the equipment.

"So whether you want to check out a skid steer this year,  or self-propelled sprayer or the air seeders. You know what's really exciting this year is we have a high-speed tillage demo that's going to go for 1000  feet. You'll be able to see those machines operating at full speed and for that type of product that's so important. We decided to dedicate more area of the farm just even for that demo. And on the livestock side. We also have a feed mixer demo like we did in 2018 and 19. We brought that back as well."

He says on the crop side this year they have about 35 crop plots.

"So you'll be able to see different types of programs, whether it's a fertilization program, or a herbicide program, or even the genetics. "

There's a lot of ground to cover at the show with the exhibitors and demonstration area.

O'Conner encourages people coming to the show to download the mobile app which will help them navigate the grounds and more.

" Our mobile app is fantastic. I've been using it for two weeks myself.  You can download it. It's populated with the map and an opportunity to schedule visits with the exhibitors. It gives you a direct connection to certain exhibitors if that's who you want to see. You know, there's just so much there that can help you pre-plan,  or even when you're at the show site, mark down what you want to see

Video: Syngenta Ag Stories - Reanna Hagel, Channel Marketing Manager

Growing up on a cow-calf operation and small feedlot near Lumby, BC, Reanna learned agriculture the hands-on way with her sister on the family farm. Today, as Channel Marketing Manager for Syngenta Canada, what Reanna loves most about her work is simple: the customer is always at the centre. Whether that's a grower or a channel partner, she understands them on a personal level - because she's the daughter of one. But for Reanna, supporting ag doesn't stop at her job. She volunteers with local 4-H clubs, lends a hand to her farming neighbours, and is raising her own kids to understand and respect the land. Her advice to the next generation? "It's an amazing time to be in the industry - it's going to look completely different in 20 years. To be part of the evolution is very exciting."
