Alberta Budget Supports Agriculture Sector

The Alberta budget is banking on better times ahead in the oil sector as pipeline projects come online and exports increase.
 
It's also recognizing it's time to put more money and effort into areas such as high-tech, tourism and agriculture. 
 
But while the government is supporting Ag in a big way in this latest budget, more than 250 public servants in the Ag department got their pink slips this week and some folks on Twitter are worried those cuts could mean all Alberta Ag conducted research will be terminated.
