Corn, Soybean Planting Wrapping Up

South Dakota’s planting season is wrapping up.

The USDA’s latest crop report shows 97 percent of the state’s corn and 88 percent of soybeans are planted - both slightly ahead of the five-year average rate.

Over 80 percent of both crops are rated in either “good” or “excellent” condition.
