DuPont Pioneer Contest Yields Excitement

CHATHAM, Ont., August 19, 2014 - Congratulations to Ryan Lofthouse of Tilsonburg, Ont., the winner of a trip for two to a destination of his choice in Texas - the grand prize in the DuPont Pioneer "Win With T Series" contest.

"Pioneer® brand T Series soybeans are the company's next generation of soybean products and represent one of the larger new product lineups we've introduced in a single year," said Krista Klompstra, marketing manager, eastern Canada. "Locally tested, the new beans offer a yield advantage and have better defensive traits built in."

Lofthouse's local Pioneer Hi-Bred sales representative, Ann Vermeersch, met him on his farm to present the prize. Lofthouse says he and his fiancée may use the trip for their honeymoon.
Second and third prizes were awarded to Dave vander Borgh, who won a new 55" Samsung HDTV and Joe Degurse received a new Weber gas grill. Another 10 runners-up from across Ontario and Quebec received a prize pack of steaks..
"We'd like to congratulate all the contest winners and thank all our growers for their continued trust in Pioneer® brand products," added Klompstra.

There are currently 15 T Series soybean varieties available in Canada, including two ultra-early maturities to expand growers' options in western Canada. Growers interested in learning more about T Series are encouraged to contact their local Pioneer Hi-Bred sales representative.
