EMILI hosts Crop Intelligence Summit at Innovation Farms Centre

On February 11, 2025, EMILI celebrated Canada’s Agriculture Day by hosting the first stop of the 2025 Crop Intelligence Annual Summit. Approximately 30-40 people gathered in EMILI’s Innovation Farms Centre for the full day event.

Crop Intelligence is an app that collects and interprets soil moisture to model water driven yield potential in dryland farming. Their annual summit brings together a diverse group of growers, agronomists, and industry professionals to discuss how technology and data can support informed decisions to optimize crop water use.

The morning kicked off with a presentation from Crop Intelligence Territory Business Agronomist Katharyn Houston followed by presentations from Greg Stamp, Sales Manager at Stamp Seeds, Laird Lampertz, Sales Manager at Pitura Seeds, James Mowat, Technical Lead at Enns Brothers, and Leanne Koroscil, Innovation Farms Manager at EMILI.

“An excellent lineup of speakers sparking some valuable discussion amongst a group of growers and agronomists who are looking to constantly improve their operation and the industry at large – no better energizer or way to celebrate Canadian Ag Day than that,” said Houston in a LinkedIn post highlighting the event.
