Ernst Recognizes Positive Impact of 4-H on Iowa Communities

U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee and 4-H alumna, joined 38 of her colleagues in designating Oct. 5-11, 2025 as National 4-H Week in recognition of the important role the program plays in unlocking career, educational, and leadership opportunities for students to foster professional growth and community impact.

“As a young girl, participating in my local 4-H club taught me the importance of service to my community, my country, and my world. This value shaped my entire life, from the fields of Red Oak to the halls of Congress,” said Senator Ernst. “4-H has given generations of Iowans a lifelong connection to agriculture and civic engagement. I’m proud to support an organization that empowers young folks with the skills to lead and gives them countless opportunities to make the best better.”
