Evening Crop Walk Planned for Humboldt County on June 17

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will host an evening crop walk from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 17 near Thor.

“This crop walk will cover the basics of mid-season scouting,” said Angie Rieck-Hinz, extension field agronomist.  “We will discuss current conditions, scout for insects and crop diseases and talk about management practices. We will also review weed control effectiveness.”

From field towers that measure emissions to research into regionally tailored best management practices, discover how the network is working to help growers improve nitrogen use efficiency and help reduce nitrogen losses across the country.
