Drago GT+ Corn Head Targets Grain Loss and Tough Harvest Conditions

Dragotec USA launched the Drago GT+ corn head to replace the Drago GT beginning with the 2027 model year and help growers capture more yield, run through tougher field conditions, and get extended life.

“With the launch of the Drago GT+ corn head, we are raising the bar on yield capture, durability and harvest efficiency,” said Dustin Bollig, Dragotec vice president of sales and marketing. “It’s for the growers who want a corn head built for today’s more intensive harvests.”

Design
Higher plant populations, more trash moving through the head, faster drydown hybrids, and the occasional down-corn field put more demand on the corn head. The GT+ corn head was designed to run faster through drier stalks and heavier trash.

Redesigned poly with a smoother, curved profile slopes toward the auger to promote better material flow. A rear pan shape and kernel barrier have been designed to keep more grain moving to the auger, while ear sweeps help reduce material drag under the head. Short down-corn augers are now standard, helping the head bring in leaning stalks and limit hanging-ear loss.
