HTS Ag named Precision Farming Dealer’s 2024 Most Valuable Dealership

The 2024 recipient of Precision Farming Dealer’s 12th annual Most Valuable Dealership award is HTS Ag, founded in 1995 with 6 locations across Iowa.

HTS stands for high tech solutions, which are exactly what the dealership has delivered to farmers in the Hawkeye State and beyond since well before precision agriculture was considered mainstream. It currently sells Ag Leader, OPI Grain Management, DJI, Autel and Hylio products.

“When I first started, I don't know that I ever could have imagined where we’re at today,” says HTS Ag president and general manager Adam Gittins. “It’s a huge honor taking home awards like the Most Valuable Dealer, but we always want to be better, so I'm not ever going to be content with where we’re at. We continue to learn and grow every single year."

Dealerships from across the U.S., including large and small farm equipment dealership groups with precision departments and independent precision operations, were nominated by their farm customers, precision equipment suppliers, and their own employees.

Evaluated criteria included precision farming sales growth and diversity, along with how each nominee is generating revenue from hardware, software, and precision service. Less quantifiable elements that define the best precision farming dealership, such as employee training, performance standards, innovation, sustainability, and community involvement were also considered.

The 2024 Most Valuable Dealership program was made possible through the support of Ag Leader.

“HTS Ag is a valued partner of Ag Leader and we’re honored to be able to help recognize and celebrate their ongoing efforts to develop and provide its customers with solutions that generate profitability using precision technologies,” says Jenna Royer, Ag Leader’s Marketing Manager.

Launched in 2013, Precision Farming Dealer's Most Valuable Dealership program annually recognizes the premier dealership and staff selling, servicing and supporting precision farming technology.

Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. We also have a part-time employee, Brock. My dad started the farm in 1980. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.

I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.
