Kubota Canada Unveils New Corporate Headquarters in Ontario

Kubota Canada Ltd. celebrated Oct. 12 the opening of its new Canadian corporate headquarters and distribution facility in the growing Pickering Innovation Corridor.

This new facility, which comprises 500,000 square feet of industrial warehouse space and 65,000 square feet of office, meeting and state-of-the-art training space on three floors, was powered by an $80 million investment from Kubota.

"Kubota Canada has established itself as one of the country's premier tractor and equipment distributors during our proud 47-year history," said Yannick Montagano, president of Kubota Canada. "This new facility in the Pickering Innovation Corridor is a continuation of our commitment to the Canadian market – to our customers, our dealers, our partners and our employees – as we expand our solutions in the agriculture, construction, commercial and residential markets."

Video: Inside a Custom John Deere 5120M Off-Road Tractor Build

What happens when a standard tractor needs to handle steep grades, marshy terrain, thick brush, sharp debris, and off-road conditions where getting stuck is a real possibility?

You build something completely different. In this video, we take a closer look at a custom-built John Deere 5120M Outlaw tractor, designed for demanding off-road work by municipalities, government agencies, forestry crews, and other operators working in difficult terrain.

This custom tractor features a 15,000-pound hydraulic winch for self-rescue, custom-built fabrication and mounting systems, forestry tires, a heavy-duty grapple with thumb control, limb risers, protective screening, a two-piece belly pan, protected hydraulic lines, and additional shielding designed to protect the machine from limbs, debris, and rough terrain.

We also go inside the cab to look at how the original tractor functions were retained, how the third-function grapple is operated, how the winch system works, and the custom features that make this tractor capable of working where a standard machine may not be able to go.

From the custom fabrication to the daily service access, every part of this build was designed around one goal: creating a rugged, capable tractor built for the job.
