Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners Opens New Facility in Waterloo, Ill.

A new Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners location has opened with an expansive new facility in Waterloo, Ill., 500 yards north of the current store on State Route 3. A Farm Equipment Dealer 100™ dealership, and the 2021 Farm Equipment Dealership of the Year, Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners is a John Deere Dealer with a total of 37 locations across Missouri, Illinois and New York.

“Our previous facility was built in 1975 and although it has served us well over the last 50 years, we undoubtedly have outgrown it,” says Waterloo manager Jeff Matzenbacher. “We designed and built this building to be a state-of-the-art facility so our technicians can be as efficient as possible to give the greatest value to our customers, and to allow our parts department the available space to continue to add inventory to have the right part at the right time to keep our customers up and running.”

The expansive space on the first floor totals 42,104 square feet, and features a nearly 25,000-square foot service shop — including an ag shop, lawn and garden shop and wash bay. A 5-ton bridge crane spans 98 feet and extends the full length of the ag shop. Additionally, the first floor offers covered parts storage (4,840 square feet), main level parts storage (5,159 square feet), a parts mezzanine and a total 4,000 square feet showroom and retail space permits merchandise to be displayed in what the team refers to as an inviting and customer friendly atmosphere.

The second floor, totalling 5,538 square feet., houses the sales processing team, human resources and various other supporting roles. There are also 12 offices, 8 cubicles, a small meeting room, large conference room (for ongoing employee training) and a corporate lounge.

“In today’s employment market, we realize our employees are just as important as our customers,” explains Matzenbacher. “For this reason, we added an outdoor kitchen, a large technician breakroom with full kitchen, and a corporate lounge area affectionately referred to as the ‘Bistro.’ We have monthly in-house prepared lunches to show our gratitude to our employees. I feel that bringing all departments together, including the corporate group, helps build teamwork and camaraderie.”

Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners is on the Farm Equipment Dealer 100™, a ranking of the top 100 North American farm equipment dealers — by number of locations, which provides information on total and ag stores, brands, geographies served, employees, history, executives and ownership/company profile information.
