Vaderstad & Tillage Management Execs Elected to FEMA Board

According to press releases from Oct. 26, Tillage Management Inc. Project Manager Kat Coombes and Vaderstad Director of Sales – U.S. Paul Link have been elected to the Board of Directors of the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Assn.

Coombes works alongside her father and brother as the project manager for Tillage Management, Inc., focusing on purchasing, operations and sales. Founded in 2006, the company produces the OPTIMIZER One Pass Tillage equipment as well as reduced-pass implements for orchards and vineyards.

Link started with Vaderstad in 2021 bringing more than 25 years’ experience in both retail and manufacturing sales. The company is based out of Sweden and is a family-owned and operated manufacturer that has a proud 60-year tradition. It’s comprised of four manufacturing locations in Europe and North America.

Executives from member companies of the Association unanimously elected Coombes and Link at the Marketing & Distribution Convention in Orlando, Fla. They join a 16-person governing board for the Association that serves as voice, advocate and resource for companies from each link in the farm implement supply chain: manufacturers, providers of component parts and services to those manufacturers, and equipment marketers.

Field Tile Installation for Improved Drainage

we install field tile to improve soil conditions and drainage efficiency. Proper drainage is critical for long-term field performance and productivity.

The work is completed using a Case IH 470 Quadtrac; however, this will probably be the last time this tractor is used for tiling. While capable, the 470 lacks the power and weight. We will be returning to our Case IH 580 Quadtrac, which is better suited for the demands of field tile installation.

My name is Michael Wendling, and I am proud to be a 6th-generation farmer carrying forward a family legacy that began in 1879 here in East Central Illinois.

Today, our operation focuses on raising food-grade corn for Frito-Lay and also soybeans. While the tools and technology have evolved, our core values remain the same: hard work, integrity, and a deep respect for the land we steward.
