Future Harvest Opens Applications for 2026 Beginner Farmer Training Program

Future Harvest is now accepting applications for its 2026 Beginner Farmer Training Program (BFTP), a yearlong program designed to help aspiring farmers gain the skills and experience needed to launch or manage their own farm operations. The program’s mission is to build a new generation of farmers who are knowledgeable in profitable, environmentally responsible practices that support healthy communities and protect natural resources.

Each year, Future Harvest works with a cohort of 10 to 15 trainees who are currently working or volunteering on farms and plan to start or manage their own in the next three to five years.
