Hoeven to Hold Roundtable with Farm Service Agency Under Secretary, Announce Effort to Partner NDSU Ag Policy Center & National Rural Export Center

Senator John Hoeven will hold a roundtable with Richard Fordyce, the Under Secretary for the Farm Service Agency (FSA) at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The senator invited Fordyce to the state to discuss efforts to secure additional agriculture assistance and implement the enhanced farm safety net provisions passed as part of the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, also known as the One Big Beautiful Bill.

Immediately following, Hoeven will hold a press conference with Fordyce and leaders from North Dakota State University (NDSU) and the North Dakota District Export Council (DEC). Hoeven will outline efforts to create a new partnership between NDSU’s Agricultural Risk Policy Center and the National Rural Export Center, which will combine the expertise of the policy center with that of Heather Ranck and her team to better equip rural businesses for competing in the global marketplace.
