Illinois Soybean Association Elects New Board Leadership

The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) elected new leadership during its annual public meeting on July 22 in Champaign, Ill.

At the meeting, Bryan Severs was elected Chairman of ISA, replacing outgoing Chairman, Ron Kindred. Severs is a third-generation farmer in Vermillion County, where his family raises corn, soybeans and cattle. He has served as ISA’s District 7 Director since 2020 and previously took on additional leadership roles including Treasurer and Soybean Production Committee Chairman. Severs also currently serves as Chairman of Specialty Soya and Grains Alliance (SSGA) and as an American Soybean Association (ASA) Director.

“Throughout these past five years of serving on the Illinois Soybean Board, I have seen first-hand the value the organization brings to soybean farmers,” said Severs. “While serving as Treasurer and chairing the Soybean Production Committee, I saw the staff and resources evolve to better meet the needs of farmers for years to come. On behalf of the 43,000 soybean farmers in Illinois, I look forward to seeing what the ISA Board can achieve together in the next year.”
