Joe Sbrocchi to retire

Joe Sbrocchi, a passionate advocate for the greenhouse vegetable sector, will be retiring in February 2023 after an intense five years of leadership.

The Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers (OGVG) says:

“He has helped lead our sector through a tremendous period of growth in production capacity, while also helping stimulate increases in both our domestic and export markets. He and his team have been instrumental in aiding our membership in their tumultuous transition through the past two and a half years of coping with COVID-19, worker challenges, and incumbent lockdowns. Through these times Joe has allowed our membership to be assured of a strong advocate working on their behalf. OGVG is appreciative of the efforts he has taken to help the greenhouse sector achieve its strategic goal of global leadership in greenhouse production."

In his message to staff and membership Mr. Sbrocchi stated, “I cannot convey to you all, the pride I have felt working for you, and the sector, while embracing the challenges, purpose and growth that the sector has given back to me.”
