Latest Crop Progress Report Show Oklahoma Wheat is 73% Planted, 52% Emerged

USDA’s weekly Crop Progress report, Monday, shows the nation’s winter wheat crop is 80% planted, 4 points behind this time last year and equal to the five-year average. 55% of the nation’s winter wheat has emerged, 5 points behind this time last year and 9 points behind the five-year average. The Nation’s winter wheat crop condition is 46% good to excellent, 34% fair and 20% poor to very poor.

Latest Crop Progress Report

According to the report, corn harvested is 66%, 4 points behind this time last year and more than 10 points ahead of the five-year average.

Soybeans harvested is 73%, 9 points behind this time last year and 3 points ahead of the five-year average.

Cotton bolls opening is at 91%, 7 points behind this time last year and 1 point behind the five-year average. Cotton harvested is 35%, 6 points behind this time last year and 6 points behind the five-year average. Good to excellent cotton crop conditions is 64%, equal to last week and more than 20 points up from this time last year.

Mature grain sorghum is at 96%, 1 point behind this time last year and 3 points ahead of the five-year average. Grain sorghum harvested is 71%, 1 point behind this time last year and more than 10 points ahead of the five-year average.

Finally, pasture and range conditions are 24% good to excellent, 33% fair and 43% poor to very poor.

Oklahoma

According to the Oklahoma Crop Progress and Condition report, Oklahoma’s winter wheat is 73% planted and 52% emerged. The state’s winter wheat crop condition is 53% good to excellent, 38% fair and 8% poor to very poor.

Oklahoma corn crop harvested is 69%.

Oklahoma grain sorghum crop condition is 37% good to excellent, 25% fair and 38% poor to very poor. Mature grain sorghum is at 98%. Grain sorghum harvested is at 54%.

Oklahoma soybean crop condition is 50% good to excellent, 37% fair and 13% poor to very poor. Soybeans dropping leaves is at 80%. Soybeans harvested is 39%.

Oklahoma cotton crop condition is 66% good to excellent, 26% fair and 8% poor to very poor. Cotton bolls opening is at 95%. Cotton harvested is at 18%.

Pasture and range condition is 33% good, 48% fair and 19% poor to very poor.

Kansas

According to the Kansas Crop Progress and Condition report winter wheat is 84% planted and 59% emerged. The state’s winter wheat crop is 63% good to excellent, 28% fair and 9% poor to very poor.

In Kansas, the corn crop harvested is 84%.

Kansas soybean crop condition rated 55% good to excellent, 31% fair and 14% poor to very poor. Soybeans dropping leaves is 95%. Soybeans harvested is 57%.

Kansas grain sorghum crop condition rated 58% good to excellent, 29% fair and 13% poor to very poor. Grain sorghum harvested is 61%.

Kansas cotton crop condition rated 50% good to excellent, 45% fair and 5% poor to very poor. Cotton bolls opening is 92%. Cotton harvested is 5%.

Kansas pasture and range conditions rated 35% good to excellent, 34% fair and 31% poor to very poor.

Texas

According to the Texas Crop Progress and Condition report, winter wheat is 72% planted and 46% emerged. The state’s winter wheat crop condition is not yet available.

Texas corn crop condition is 61% good to excellent, 29% fair and 10% poor to very poor. Corn harvested is at 94%.

Texas grain sorghum crop condition is 63% good to excellent, 28% fair and 9% poor to very poor. Sorghum harvested is 95%.
