Latest Episode of “Nate on the Farm” is Out!

Last week, Minnesota Corn released the latest episode of “Nate on the Farm,” its video series in which Public Relations Manager Nate Gotlieb travels to corn farms around the state.

In the new video, “Sustainable Farming Practices,” Nate visits the family farm of Duane Epland in Twin Lakes, Minnesota. Duane grows corn and soybeans with his brother Bruce on land that’s been in their family for over 60 years. His dad, Jerry, is still an active presence in their farm operation, as is his wife, Jean, and sister-in-law Lisa.

Nate and Duane talk about Duane’s farming background, innovations in farming, and the outlook for the season. They also tour several of Duane’s fields, where Nate sees conservation practices such as no-till and filter strips and learns about fertilization practices.
